The Encaustic workshops focus on the latest techniques and tools involved in the process of creating finished encaustic and photo encaustic art works. The latest methods in wax layering and finishing will be reviewed. This course will also include techniques in hand coloring and photographic enhancement with collage, image transfers and floats, and the techniques of fusion, carving, scraping, floating, image transfer, layering, and polishing.

Cradled wooden panels are not inlcuded in the supplies and may be purchased at the school or online at http://www.artistcraftsman.com/servlet/Categories. Students bring personal photos on absorbent non-glossy paper.
