Watercolorists- if you feel frustrated, confused or lack confidence in mixing colors, then this new one–day workshop is for you. It is specifically designed to help watercolorists understand how to better achieve the color and clarity they want in their paintings. Topics will include how to mix colors effectively, understanding watercolor paint characteristics (e.g. transparent vs. opaque, staining vs. non-staining, granulating etc...), how to avoid  the dreaded “mud” that kills the beauty and freshness of watercolor and how to adjust your paint mixtures to achieve the color you’re looking for. We will be doing a series of “hands-on” exercises to deepen your understanding of color.  Students should have some basic knowledge of watercolor. Supply list on www.patfiorello.com
